Experts from various industries gathered in Barcelona on the 30th and 31st of March for the 2nd Electrification, Fuel Cell & Battery Development for Marine Vessels conference organized by TBM Group. The conference centered around the latest developments in alternative fuels, their use, storage, and availability, as well as the capabilities of the current battery market and prospects.
During the conference EALING Project was presented by Port de Barcelona and Piraeus Port Authority, focusing on its advancements on Cold ironing / Shore Side Electricity to contribute to the decarbonization of ports operations.
The event brought together experts from the shipping, yacht, small-leisure vessels, and transport industries to share their experiences and visions on which alternative sources of energy to pursue and invest in for the future. It was also an opportunity to discuss the most poignant challenges in the industry and identify effective strategies, experiences, and ideas to pursue environmentally sustainable industries and reduce the cost of electrification and hybridization.
