In the last months many things happened around the EALING Project. EALING has been on tour, attending several events to mantain an active dialogue with our stakeholders’ community. Behind the scenes, EALING continues working hard on concrete recommendations to bring forward the deployment of SSE infrastructures in European ports.

The Final Recommendations for a harmonised framework on SSE in EU ports have been released and now are fully downloadable here. It includes advices gathered from the main EU Ports, shipping stakeholders and Project partners to bring forward the deployment of SSE infrastructures in EU ports. EALING was also taken into account for the release of the new European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) guidelines on Shore-Side Electricity, imagined to assist in the planning and development of SSE options.
Concerning the events, EALING was present to relevant conferences and exhibitions. Among the others the project was at Transport Research Arena, held in Lisbon, presenting a scientific paper titled Ealing project – Exploratory analysis of the future implementation of Onshore Power Supply facilities in European ports and relevant technical aspects for Port Authorities. While during BiLOG – Logistics & Maritime Forum held in Piacenza, Italy, with its Technical Manager, EALING was presented during the session Cold Ironing: Towards a Common European Harmonization and the Italian Deployment Plan, also having a booth during the exhibition.
