The EALING Progress meetings for Activity 1 Harmonised Framework for the electrification of the participating TEN-T, Activity 2 Maritime fleet adaptation and Activity 3 FEED Studies were held on 3rd of November, to share and discuss the results achieved and to coordinate the next steps.
During the Progress Meeting for Activity 1 – Harmonised Framework for the electrification of the participating TEN-T was deepen the detailed analysis on the current status of technical, legal and regulatory framework – at Member States level and at EU level – about the implementation of OPS in EU ports, with a specific focus on the existing regulatory framework affecting directly or indirectly the implementation of OPS in the ports of the consortium.
Concerning the Progress Meeting for Activity 2 – Maritime fleet adaptation focused on the study of the maritime electrification standards and vessels operating across the ports of the consortium, the outcomes of the questionnaires/interviews/workshops with shipping lines, classification societies and flag administrations were deepen with the aim of identifying the relevant technical, regulatory and financial elements to facilitate adaptation/connectivity of vessels to OPS.
The Progress Meeting for Activity 3 – FEED Studies (Technical design studies for the electrification infrastructure necessary for the ports of the consortium) was focused on the progress of the front-end engineering design (FEED) studies and other necessary technical studies that will feed into the tender specifications of the future equipment and infrastructure for the Port of the Consortium.
